Information for researchers
The Join Us register will recruit large numbers of adults into research addressing some of Australia’s biggest health challenges including COVID-19.
It will help to connect interested and eligible participants with researchers, making it easier to reach study recruitment targets.
What is the register for?
In the case of COVID-19, the community-based focus of the register directly complements existing plans for investigating in-hospital treatment options.
How do I use it?
If you are a researcher and would like to use the Join Us register to help you recruit participants for your study, or to access de-identified data held by the register you should complete an initial proposal and then submit an application form. See the quick links at the top of this page.
The register team can help with any questions or help in submitting applications: [email protected]
How does the register work?
When consenting to participate in the Join Us register, participants agree to their details being linked to routinely collected health data. This enables us to identify which participants might be eligible for your study and to provide them with more information about your study and an invitation to contact you.
How is personal data secured?
The privacy of participants’ data is an absolute priority for us. Their personal health information is not stored in the Join Us register and their contact details are not provided to anyone.
