Study Purpose/Description

Researchers from Macquarie University want to understand how people in Australia have experienced and dealt with healthcare challenges during climate-related disasters. Your stories and insights will help researchers improve healthcare and community responses for future crises.

What’s Involved?

Participation in this study involves discussing your experiences of managing a health condition during a recent climate-related disaster in a 45-minute interview. These interviews can take place through videoconference, phone, or inperson at Macquarie University (Macquarie Park, NSW).

For the purposes of this study, climate-related disasters include bushfires, floods, and storms. An example of such a disaster is the 2019-2020 ‘Black Summer’ bushfire season.
