The Resilient Mind (ReMind) Study

UNSW researchers want to better understand factors that impact and build resilience in the face of adversity. This study will help to inform and develop future interventions that promote brain health and mental well-being.

Study Purpose/Description

UNSW researchers are seeking people aged 18 years and older to help them learn more about resilience, mental health, and cognition across the lifespan.

Participants will use a custom-built research app to help researchers learn more about the many factors that impact resilience to a range of adversities. The ReMind team are interested in psychological, physiological, social and environmental factors that might impact cognitive and mental health.

What’s Involved?

  • Participants will use the ReMind study app to complete surveys and short cognitive tasks. This tasks will usually only require a few minutes per day at various time points.
  • The baseline questions about your demographics and health will take the longest to complete – approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
  • After the baseline questions, participants will be prompted to respond to a small number of questions or complete short game-like tasks for specific weeks of the study.
  • Participants will also be asked to complete longer health questionnaires at annual follow-up time points. The study will be conducted over two years.
