StandingTall – Rehab Study

Researchers from NeuRA want to involve stroke patients and caregivers in creating a digital rehabilitation program for stroke recovery.

Study Purpose/Description

The StandingTall study aims to involve stroke patients and caregivers in creating a digital rehabilitation program for stroke recovery.

This program combines a personalised exercise plan with usual care for patients recovering from a stroke. Earlier research suggests it can improve mobility, quality of life, and independence by focusing on balance, strength, and functional tasks.

What’s Involved?

Participation in this study involves a one-to-one interview with research staff that will take no longer than 60 minutes, which will be conducted online using video conferencing software or in-person.

All participants will receive a $50 store gift card to reimburse you for any reasonable travel, parking and other expenses while completing the interview.

Recruitment criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if:

  • Have experienced a stroke or are the carer of someone who has experienced a stroke,
  • Are no longer staying hospital receiving treatment for a medical condition, and
  • Agree to participate in an interview that will be video and audio recorded.
