Study Purpose/ Description

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women worldwide, but many women miss out on important screenings to detect it. In Australia, only 39% of women aged 45 and older had a heart disease risk check between 2016-2018.

The aim of this study is to explore the views of general practitioners (GPs), mammography providers and women on adding heart disease risk screening to routine breast screenings (mammograms). By understanding the benefits and challenges, we hope to engage more women in heart screening.
