Psychosocial Well-Being and Support Needs of Siblings of Children with Chronic Health Conditions A multi-method study in the Australian context

This study aims to assess the psychological well-being and support needs of siblings of children with chronic health conditions in Australia. We include siblings who are 5-12 years old and their parents from families who live with a child with a chronic health condition. The results of this study will help develop future support programs for these families.

Study Purpose/Description

Siblings of children with chronic health conditions undergo various challenges in their lives. Previous studies have shown that these siblings and families require timely interventions and support to help overcome those challenges.

What’s Involved?

Participants will be invited to participate in an online survey on the Qualtrics Platform. The survey consists of two parts; the parent survey (approximately 20 minutes), and the sibling survey (approximately 5 minutes). Parents have the option to submit only the parent survey if they or the sibling is unwilling to participate.

By participating, families can enter a prize draw to win one of five $50 AUD Coles vouchers.
