Study Purpose/Description
This study aims to identify ways to improve self-directed rehabilitation by co-designing innovative, user-centred solutions. Specifically, we aim to develop Artificial Intelligence driven tools that provide personalised coaching and support for patients while enhancing the ability of physiotherapists to address their patients’ needs effectively. The findings from this study will contribute to the development of tailored technologies that improve rehabilitation practices and outcomes, with a focus on long-term recovery and better management of health conditions.
What’s involved?
This study involves three key activities:
- Pre-Screening Questionnaire (5 min) – Determines eligibility by collecting basic demographic information and experiences with rehabilitation.
- Semi-Structured Interview (45–60 min) – If eligible, you will be invited to discuss your rehabilitation experiences, challenges, and potential solutions. Interviews can be conducted online or in person.
- Optional Co-Design Sessions (2–3 days, 2 hours per session) – Selected participants who opt in will collaborate on the design of AI driven solutions for self-directed rehabilitation. Activities include brainstorming, role-playing, and conceptual design.
For completing the interview, participants will receive a gift card valued at $40. For participating in the optional co-design sessions, if selected, participants will receive an additional gift card valued at $150.
