Study Purpose/Description
This research is targeted towards individuals who have rehabilitated from a work-related injury through a workers’ compensation claim in Australia. This study aims to understand claimants’ perspectives on current goal-setting practices in the workers’ compensation industry and explore their experiences pursuing rehabilitation goals during their recovery. Findings from this research will work towards optimising goal-setting practices for injured workers in Australia.
What’s Involved?
You will be invited to take part in a 1-hour semi-structured online interview hosted via Zoom at a time and date that is suitable for you. Access to a computer and a quiet space is recommended for participation in the interview. You will also be given the opportunity to review and add further comments to your interview transcripts and may be invited for a follow-up interview. All interview data will be de-identified to ensure your confidentiality and anonymity.
This research will offer you the opportunity to express your satisfaction/dissatisfaction with the goal-setting practices you experienced during your rehabilitation. Your perspectives and experiences will contribute to an expanded knowledge regarding goal setting within Australian workers’ compensation schemes and may help to improve rehabilitation outcomes for future claimants. You will also be provided with a $20 Coles and Myer gift card as an appreciation for your involvement.
