CARE-T2D Study

Are you living with type 2 diabetes and want help with your blood sugar (glucose) management?

Study Purpose/Description

Food and eating and checking blood sugar (glucose) are both important for looking after type 2 diabetes. Many people do not get enough support with food choices. This study wants to find out:

  • How dietitian advice can help.
  • If using a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) makes a difference.

What’s Involved?

This study is conducted remotely – you can live anywhere! Participants will be randomised to one of two interventions, and will be supported by telehealth services over a 6-month period.

All participants will receive:

  • Four sessions of telehealth dietetic support for glucose management
  • HbA1c, glucose, and lipid testing at your local pathology centre
  • You may also receive glucose monitors for use alongside the dietetic support.
