The Join Us Research Register is working to advance the national research effort by connecting the Australian community with research studies relevant to them. Recruiting enough participants is crucial to the success of a research study, but it can be extremely challenging for a number of reasons. By making it easier to learn about and take part in health research opportunities, Join Us is making health research participation more inclusive, accessible, and impactful for everyone.
All researchers interested in using Join Us to find potential study participants must have approval from an Australian Human Research Ethics Committee and must complete an online Researcher Access Form. Our dedicated Research Support team works with UNSW Sydney to find potential study participants from our pool of enthusiastic, pre-consenting study participants.
Join Us is proud to have supported recruitment for over 100 research studies since 2021, covering a wide range of studies across topics including healthy ageing, cardiovascular health, mental health, women’s health and more. Recently, Join Us has helped researchers seeking to better understand Parkinson’s Disease in Australia, learn more about the impact of Type 1 Diabetes on brain health and improve the national understanding of sun exposure.
