Study Purpose/Description
The SHAPE study has been designed to help participants with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) achieve more physical activity through an exercise support program.
The research team will be determining if a tele-health exercise program achieves a similar increase in walking distance when compared to a centre-based exercise program.
What’s Involved?
Participation in the study involves:
- providing information on your medical history,
- completing two (2) face-to-face health assessments at UNSW Sydney,
- completing questionnaires relating to your PAD and health, and
- attending either face-to-face or tele-health exercise sessions with the specialist team three (3) times per week for 12 weeks.
The consultations and the health assessments will occur over a 12-week period.
